              UbuCon Asia 2025 is now looking for sponsors

              Our next edition of UbuCon Asia in Kathmandu, Nepal with date set to August 30-31 is now looking for its sponsors who will help us to make this annual gathering happen! Since 2021, UbuCon Asia has been connecting diverse people in Asia with one thing common: Ubuntu and FOSS. And has been enabling Asian Ubuntu and FOSS community to explore what we can do with Ubuntu and FOSS and how we can contribute to its projects and communities. The event has been also a huge momentum to get Ubuntu local communities get more active or sometimes revived from long vacant and connect each other. And this was not possible without any support from our sponsors!

              UbuCon Asia 2025 to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal

              After many discussions within the committee, the UbuCon Asia Committee is glad to announce that UbuCon Asia 2025 will be held in Kathmandu, Nepal. We have only received a bid from Nepal for 2025 and have reached out to other Ubuntu LoCos who might be interested in hosting. The team also had time to improve their bid. After an organizing committee meeting today (November 18th 12:00 UTC) where the Nepal team presented their event organizing plan and answered many committee questions, the UbuCon Asia Committee unanimously agreed to choose Kathmandu, Nepal for UbuCon Asia 2025.
